I'm looking for either of these two individuals to order a certificate;
(From 1851 census)
Peter Lawson Wheldon b1840 Howden, Northumberland
Isabella Wheldon b1838 Howden, Northumberland.
Parents are Martin Shepherd Wheldon and Elizabeth
I am trying to find their mother's maiden name. Through the IGI there is a submitted entry for Elizabeth Hutchinson/Hutcherson as the surname, and coincidently there is a John Hutchinson living with the family marked as Vistior (Widowed at 69 Years).
I would like to confirm with some original source instead of IGI but can't find a GRO index for the two births whatsoever. Or a marriage between Martin Shepherd Wheldon and Elizabeth on the IGI either.
Can anyone help?

From the info included in your post, it appears you perused 1851 and 1861 censuses( the latter ahs John Hutchinson ? as a visitor.
If you had gone on to the next census i.e. 1871 (page ref 5110-104-33 )... it shows widow Elizabeth with her "Father" John Hutchinson, in her household.
As far a civil registration goes, perhaps Peter is the only child to be young enough to figure on Birth Registrations ( started 1st July 1837)
[ 1841 census (page ref 827/3 10-8) has Isabella as 4 yrs old- so perhaps born too soon)
Failure to find Peter's registration as Wheldon or Hutchinson ( and varaitions) give me hunch that maybe Elizabeth had been married before >>>>
FreeBMD has marriage in June Qtr 1841 at South Shields of Martin and an Elizabeth Falconer.
The South Tyneside Register Office site Formerly "South Shields", has Martin marrying in St Paul's church, Jarrow, on 19 April 1941..

This format doesn't mean he married two women lol, just one woman with two surames.
The marriage registration will show her with" maiden name Hutchinson, formerly Falconer"

There is a registration of death in 1838 of a Margaret Forster Wheldon in the Sept ¼ Newcastle on Tyne 25 218 however I think this might be a child of Joseph Wheldon and Eleanor Forster
