Seeking info on Isaac WICKISON

Hi

I am trying to find out some more details (than I have already) about Isaac Wickison.
He was born in Hartfield around 1805 (age 46 on the 1851 census) and married Franicis Gorringe in Glynde on 20th Feb 1830. His name on the marriage register appears as Isaac Wickison Comber.

It seems he lived mostly in Brighton (until his death in 1860?), although I cannot find him on the 1841 census (even though his wife and kids do appear).

I am particularly interested in confirming birth date and parentage.

Hi and welcome to Rootschat

I can't help with Isaac I'm afraid but whilst I was searching  I came across a couple of his childrens marriages if you don't already have them

Eliza Wickison aged 27 married Morris Scanlan aged 24 on  28.1.1866 in Brighton
Morris's father was also called Morris

James Wickison aged 26 married Eliza Barnard aged 27 on 16.2.1862 in Brighton.  Eliza's father was John

Frederick Wickison aged 32 married Sarah Ann Urwick aged 29 on 25.1.1881 in Brighton
Sarah's father was Thomas

Is it possible that Isaac re-married shortly before his death?

Isaac Wickison  Full Age married Ann Ridge 14 Nov 1859 Saint Marylebone
Middlesex no fathers name shown for Isaac but Ann's father was William Ridge

The 1851 has an Ann Ridge b 1811 Waldron working as a servant in Brighton

The venue is strange but there is no Isaac or Ann Wickison on any census from 1861 onwards but there is an 1861 death in Marylebone for an Ann Wickison

Thank you both, very much.

I had spotted the marriage in 1859 but was/am unsure if it's the same guy (although the fact that the wife was from Brighton could be significant, I guess...).

I was also aware of the Isaac Hider Wickerson, b1802 (courtesy of someone from theweald.org) but I've been unsure whether he really is the same guy as Isaac Wickison Comber, esp. given the 1851 census age. Any ideas on where I could look for some more evidence??...

I had a look yesterday for Jane marrying a Comber but couldn't find anything I am afraid.

Hi I too have just registered on this site.  Isaac Wickison was my GGGGrandfather.  I have most of the info pasted on this threed (is that the right word?) but can also add that Isaac had at least another son Alfred (my GGGrandfather) whose descedants I have much detail on.  Alfred married Mary Ann Holland on 25 December 1859 in St Pancras, London.
