My gg grandmother Caroline Gray was born in Water End c 1826 - believe parents were possibly George Gray and Ann - later of South Mimms. Would be interested to hear of any records of Caroline's baptism in this vicinity.

The 1841 has a George Gray & Ann in Herts but daughter Caroline was only 6mths old

Do you have a copy of her marriage cert showing her fathers name and occupation?

North Mimms is the right area for Water End. Old family documents suggestCaroline was married in 1850 in Epping to John Brown, shepherd ( father Jas? Brown?) but I haven't been able to locate the marriage record.
