Is this the family you're looking at?
1881 Pencarreg, Egremont, Carms RG11/5403 folio 61 pg 2 Hanah Jenkins head widow 37 staymaker b. Pembs, Mynachlogddu Thomas son 11 b. Egremont William son 9 b. Pembs, Llandissilio Phebe dau 7 b. Pembs, Llawhaden Edward son 7 months b. Egremont
1871 Brynbank, Egremont RG10/5506 folio 4 pg 3 Hannah Jenkins head mar 26 b. Pembs, Mynachlogddu Thomas son 2 months b. Egremont
Several possibles registered Narberth for William's birth, so it might be easier to get a brith cert for one of the siblings Thomas Jenkins march qtr 1871 Narberth vol 11a pg 776 Phebe Jenkins dec qtr 1874 Narberth vol 11a pg 889 Edward Jenkins sept qtr 1880 Narberth vol 11a pg 826
There is a possible marriage registered in the right area Morris Jenkins dec qtr 1870 Narberth vol 11a pg 1275 with Hannah Edwards on the same page
1871 census has a possible Hannah Edwards aged 19 b. Mynachlogddu working as a servant in Llangolman RG9/4147 folio 3 pg 1
Do you have William's marriage cert for details of his father?

Well, that fits in with the marriage registered Narberth I posted above. As I said in that post, too many possible William Jenkins registered to be sure, so a birth cert for one of the siblings would be the way to go. It also makes the William I found in 1901 with son Morris a possible (on Glamorgan post).
There's a possible death reg for Morris which throws doubt on the parentage of Edward registered 1880 Morris Jenkins 26 june qtr 1878 Narberth vol 11a pg 513
His age ties in with this entry from 1871 census Great Vaynor, Llawhaden RG10/5509 folio 53 pg 1 Morris Jenkins mar 19 ag servant b. Llawhaden in the household of William Pitt Currie, farmer of 330 acres
1861 Rydyveynig(?), Llawhaden RG9/4150 folio 63 pg 6 William Edwards head mar 50 blacksmith b. Llawhaden Phebe wife 49 b. Whitechurch William son 13 b. Narberth Mary dau 11 b. Llawhaden Morris son 9 b. Llawhaden Simon son 7 b. Llawhaden Catherine dau 5 b. Llawhaden Frances dau 2 b. Llawhaden
The description of the enumeration district for the 1861 census says the area is "the east side of the river leading from Canaston Bridge to Egremont Bridge", so not too far from Egremont.
