Hi all
following on from my previous post about the Hitchcocks in South Australia

I was wondering if anyone could find out any information on the death of Mary HITCHCOCK nee LYNCH, B. aby 1840, who married  Samuel Hitchcock in Greenock, South Australia 26 May 1857,

I dont know if she was born in Australia or England, her father was probably Martin LYNCH.

Mary Hitchcock 22 daughter of Martin Lynch married Samuel Hitchcock 20 son of Samuel Hitchcock at the residence of Samuel Hitchcock, Greenock,  26 May 1857. 

If she really was 22 yrs old then she wouldn't have been born in South Australia since we weren't settled until late 1836 (with the exception of a few people on Kangaroo Island).

I can see the following children born :
Charles 7 Dec 1857 Greenock
Ellen 2 Aug 1859 Riverton
Rosee 5 Mar 1861 Mt Gambier D 5 June 1875 nr Port MacDonnell
Samuel 12 June 1864 Port MacDonnell
Agnes 21 Sept 1865 Port MacDonnell
John 8 Sept 1867 Port MacDonnell
Genevieve 31 Jan 1869 Nr Port MacDonnell
Mary Ann 27 11 1871 Port MacDonnell

Samuel Died 30 Sept 1884 Port MacDonnell aged 44yrs

But I can't find a death or a remarriage for Mary.

Well, the lady cant do it until after 1st Nov, so I will have to wait until then, But it may well be them, as the names seem to fit *** though I'm not jumping to conclusions   Grin ***

May 1910 children Rosa 1861-1875, Sarah 1863, Samuel 1864, Agnes 1865, John 1867, Genevieve Cath 1869, Mary Ann McDOUGHALL 1871
