Hi if anyone has any burial registers for Northampton in Northamptonshire could they please do a look-up for me for the following:
MOSES COWLEY Believed to be born 1786
He married Martha Chambers at All Saints Church, Northampton in 1809 and had two known children born in Northampton in c1814 and 1816.
By 1841 his wife was in Middlesex with another child who was born c1825 in either Middlesex or Northampton (the census varies).
While Moses could have gone to London with his family no burial can be found on the new ancestry.com indexes and so he could have died in Northampton.
There are other Moses Cowleys on the census and IGI but none of these are this Moses (a draper) as there were a few of them. It seems he must have died before civil registration in 1837
If anyone can help that would be great.
Many thanks, Jon

Remembering those care free days of childhood

HI Jon.
There were still Cowleys living in the Town, yet not a person named Moses.
None of the Cemeteries were opened then.
I will look on my Northampton Burials I have done as they are pre 1837.

HI again Jon.
No mention in my transcript for Moses.
Sorry.
