I'm looking for info on the Smith family who resided in Markyate Hertfordshire abt 1900.
Aaron Smith born abt 1859 Isle of Ely Cambs
Susan Smith nee Loveridge born abt 1862 Bedford (daughter of Thomas & Susan Loveridge)
Thomas Smith born abt 1883 Tharfield Herts
Riley Smith born abt 1886 Isle of Ely Cambs
Sophia Smith born abt 1888 Hitchin Herts
Minnie Smith born abt 1890 Walton Berks ( when Minnie was born she was registered as Miranda Loveridge)
Alfred Smith born abt 1892 Watford Herts
Emily Smith born abt 1895 Markyate Herts
James Smith born abt 1898 Caddington Herts ( aka Little Jim)

Some more info i have regarding Riley Smith born abt 1886 in Cambs,  it is something that was mentioned quite frequently whenever there were family gatherings of sorts, apparently Riley lost both of his legs but nobody knows whether it was through a serious accident or whether it was the result of fighting in WW1. Whichever it was his artificial tin legs were quite a talking point, he did have a nickname but i can't remember it at the moment, but nevertheless he carried on with his life and i think his wifes name was Cinderella, they had quite a few children and i believe they were all girls and they included a couple of sets of twins, the family lived in Royston Cambs, if any of this info rings a bell with anyone i would love to hear from you as i can't find no info on Riley despite knowing all of this.

A Riley Smith married a Cinderella Parker in Saffron Walden Essex in June 1/4 of 1940.

I don't know if it's the same Riley Smith although it does sound possible but if it is it would have been his second marriage as i've just been checking some notes and someone sent me a copy of the 1911 census and Riley Smith is on it at his parents house aged 25yrs and married but on saying that i can't find no evidence of a marriage and i've looked between 1903 to 1911, there are Riley Smiths that got married but none in the right sort of area, i'm assuming that he would have married in the home counties of Beds/Bucks/Cambs & Herts.
