help. i am after a birth cert. for jeremiah riley to establish his parents names. i sent off for one already and it was wrong one. he is not on 51 census but is on later one,s as born in brighton 1848. father seems to be john riley but can,t confirm wifes maiden name.

Is he the one on 1861 at
RG9 1826 19 6
Jeremiah Ryley age 13 bn Brighton, living in Herefordshire with parents John and Mary and numerous siblings?
If so, it looks as if they should be in Bristol in 1851, as next child down, age 10, was born Bristol.

yes he is same one but on later census,s bristol means districts of hereford as the places are named, dilwyn being one place.i tried to find 2nd son in bristol donald on census but failed.

What about a younger childs certificate for the mothers maiden name ?

hi pam,
i think certain areas of hereford came under bristol and that draws me to bristol when in fact it,s in hereford. i have sent for a later child,s birth cert. catherine and are waiting a return.i have a story from hereford paper as mary lived to 100.it states she lived in hereford(knapton birley) 1854-1922. i think they get,s a bit muddled with donald and dennis names.

did what you said and got later birth cert. of catherine and mother,s maiden name is shea.that is the name i expected to be ,so i am on right trail.what is best way to find jeremiah,s birth cert.
