Hello

Her husbands name was William. According to Lily's (daughter) birth certificate,  Margeret's maiden name was Oliver. If I am right she would have been born in Barnby Don (Doncaster I believe).

Hi David
Its been a bit of a struggle to find info for you.
I did manage to find Margaret on the 1901 census visiting Lily down in Eastbourne. Says they are both living off their own means so must have some money from somewhere. In the census it says Margaret is now known as Martha. Its not unusual as the names do seem to change on the census information.
I think I have also found Margaret on the 1881 census living with other children as well as Lily. She is already a widow and is stated as being 37. She has James A Major aged 12,b Thorne, Yorkshire,
Sarah A aged 10 born Thorne
Francis aged 8 born Thorne
Alice agd 3 born Hull
Lily aged 1 month b Hull
6 Alma Street, Drypool
I did find Lily on the Yorkshire BMD and her birth certificate is DRY/30/299
Also on Yorkshire BMD i think I found the death of William aged 39 in 1881 in Drypool. Certificate DRY/17/213
I think this is your Margaret Oliver 1848 born district of Myton, Hull certificate MYT/16/167
I think I have also found Williams christening It was in Sigglesthorpe East Yorkshire  on the 26th November 1846 and his parents were Joseph and Elizabeth  I found Josephs marriage and it was in 1835 and her surname was Southwake and it took place in Gainsborough, Lincoln
Hope this helps and maybe you can found out a little more with these leads
regards Sandymc
