Relation???
« on: Monday 26 October 09 13:32 UTC (UK) »

Can any one tell me what a "Nurse Child" is?  When entered in the relation column in the 1911 census.

Erenst Huh (probably Ernest) William Charles Swan, is found with my Baker family in Lynsted nr Sittingbourne Kent, recorded as 1 year old, but could possibly be 11 years as the original sheet is smudged.

Oh dear,  how sad.  Poor little Ernest.  Hope it wasn't because my family didn't look after him properly.

Thanks for the info AVM228
