Help
I have been researching the Craig family in the Roxburgh area. Robert Craig 1802 married Margaret Miller 1811 I thought about 1830. However I have been unable to find any record of their marriage at that time.
A Scotlands People search came up with Robert Craig of Soules Street and Margaret Miller of Crawfordland this is recorded in the Kilmarnock Almanac 1837 it says "after being proclaimed the extract was called for"
As they have 5 children in the 1841 census I doubt if this is the right couple but would be grateful if anyone can explain the wording in the Almanac
Thanks
