Hi,
Sarah Ellen Jones, born approx 1864, father William Jones, Mother Louise/a Thomas. May have a sister Mary.
I have found Sarah's marriage in 1887 in St. Johns, Hurst to Robert Cameron, however, unable to find anything in the 1881 census on IGI. Could someone have a look on earlier census?
Hopefully,
Cammy

Where was she born?  Any further details from marriage certificate ie. address, witnesses, father's occupation?

Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply. Here is the information I have on her.
10.11.1886 (sorry I had 1887 on the original post)
Sarah Ellen Jones, aged 23, spinster, father William Jones, Labourer
Robert Cameron, aged 36, bachelor, Private Soldier, Barracks, Hurst, father Robert Cameron, weaver.
Witness' William Hulme & Mary Jones.
I got her mothers name from her DC (1935 Glasgow)
She had a son (Robert W. Cameron) 10.1.1887 at 15 Hill St, Hurst. I don't know where she was born.
Cheers,

Hi Cammy

I found 15 Hill Street, Ashton under Lyme (Hurst) in 1881 and 1891 but no luck there I'm afraid.  In 1881 it was occupied by a McCANN family and it was listed as unoccupied in 1891  Sad

Is there no address for her on the marriage certificate?

Have you any idea where they will be in 1891 or 1901?  It's probably going to be easier to try and search for her in the earlier census by birthplace if that can be established from another source ie. 1901 census.

Hi Casalguidi,
The only address on the MC is "The Barracks, Hurst" which I took to be Robert Cameron's address at the time of the marriage. I have searched the 1901 census including Ashton Barracks and no joy. I thought they might have been in Scotland in 1901 but nada, zilch nothing. I appreciate your assistance, thank you so much.
Cheers,
Cammy
