I could only find 1 Williamson Family in Denny
1891:
Living at Herbertshire Street
James age 29, wife Isabella aged 28
Maggie age 5, Jane age 4 & Hughina age 10 months
1901:
Living at 111 Stirling Street (Dunipace)
James age 39, wife 'Sibella' aged 37
Children:
George age 14, Jane age 12, Hughina age 10, James age 9, Isabella age 7, Agnes age 4, Elizabeth age 2 & Alexander age 1

Only 1 Skelton Family in the immediate areas (in Bonnybridge, just down the road)
1891:
Living at 4 Old School
Daniel age 36, wife Mary age 34
Children:
Mary age 10, Charles age 8, Elizabeth age 7, Agnes age 5, William age 2 & Sarah age 1 month
This family seems to vanish from the area as they don't seem to be around in 1901.

I presumed that they were married by 1891 too. 
I think we'll have to await Swinney's return to see if there's any other info available to pin these folks down.

Hi Colin,
Still no luck I'm afraid.
I looked for the birth of a Helen Skelton 1900 +/- 1 year and the only two which showed up (in the whole of Scotland) were:
Helen born c1900 at Blantyre, parents Francis (Coal Miner) & Catherine, living at 24 Merrys Rows &
Helen born c1900 at Bellshill, parents James (Coal Miner) & Eliza, living at 36 Nimmo's Rows
I presume your Helen's parents were still alive at the date of her marriage?

I think you might have to search for the death of one of the parents death certs on SP. 
My credits have expired so I can't help you out there.
