My 2nd great grandmother was Emily Lousie Maynard married to Harry Lewis Jones. She was born in Mersham in about 1867 and died in 1954. Her father was Henry Payne Maynard and mother Emily King, i'd love to find out more about them

Ideally I would like to know details about the marriage of Emily Maynard to Harry Jones, I have found most of the census info, sadly Emily moved away from Harry just before the 1901 so i can only find hers and not his. I know she moved to Devon and he stayed in the London area. Thanks for your reply

So one has ref mistranscribed.

Are you sure she appears only with 4 children living in Devon 1901? Is she born 1867, Westham on the Census you found?
There is a Emily and Harry with child Reginald as well in 1901, born 1867 Ramsgate, Surrey.

No it is just the ref for the Marriage Cert.
You will have to buy it to get his Fathers name and occupation and hopefully Harrys age and occp. Then you can trace back

As far as i know yes, never heard of a Reginald. There were 5 children though, they were called Leonard, Thomas, Margaret, Albert & Arthur. Oo where can I buy the certificate from? Thanks

Hi Trish,
It's arrived! Harry Lewis Jones was 33 when they married 16th May 1891. Lived in The Terrace, Sibertswould. His father was also Harry Jones.
