Hi ALL
I've been searching for the marriage of my grt grt gran Maggie Burgess Kirkpatrick B 1869 Dumfries and my grt grt grandfather James Renwick B1863 Dumfries
I'm also unable to find her death i've used most searches with no luck
any help would be great

Margaret Renwick,widow of James Renwick died 1936, Dumfries. Aged 67. Her mother was Joanna Kirkpatrick.

Were their children born in Scotland? If so, their birth certs should show date and place of marriage.

Hi

The marriage cert  to James Renwick in 1888 gives her father as James Wright, lunatic attendant, (putative father) and Joan Kirkpatrick, <something> woollen mill. Maggie is 18 years old.

Also the birth cert of August 1868, Closeburn.

her mother is Margaret Burgess 1834just had a look on birth cert of my great gran nothing on that

What does your birth cert say - i.e. where was she born and when?

The one i have marrying James Rnwick doesn't match your info.

If James Renwick worked in a woollen mill, I think that the info that I've found is correct.

James Renwick, piecer in woollen mill,  married Maggie Kirkpatrick Dec 1888 in Dumfries.
