Is anyone going to the SOG Library please?
« on: Tuesday 27 October 09 22:09 UTC (UK) »

Just wondering if anyone was going to the SOG library and could possibly check a marriage licence allegation for me please?

Its not one that is available to order via Origins and I'm not likely to get there for the foreseable future.

If you can help, please PM me and I'll let you have the details.  It is early, from 1668, but as it does crop up in the published extracts I'm assuming the original will be found on the film.  If its like the others, it should be in date order ... I hope.

The reason for asking is simply to see if anyone else may be mentioned on the allegation that could confirm the identity of the bride as all it says in the extract is "with consent of her father" but doesn't name him.  I suspect I know who she was but would like to try and confirm this sooner than later.

Thanks

Nicola
