My Ggrandparents were married at the Independent Chapel, Batley in 1872 but I can't find out where this is/was. Can anyone help, please? mjn

This site says the Independent Chapel was in Hanover Street

There was also an ex-Primitive Mount Zion Chapel in Batley but I am afraid I have no idea if they are one and the same. As a sign of the times it seems this chapel is now a day nursery

Whereabouts where they living prior to marriage just inacse the chapel was fairly nearby?

Many thanks to you both for your reply. My Ggrandmother was living at Peel Street in 1871, and this was only four streets away from Hanover Street, according to my map (1907). mjn
