Hi, would it be possible for me to have a personal file which I can cut and paste information into which is helpful. My problem is my memory, and if someone gives me a link, I forget where its parked so that I can find it again. So I thought, if I had a file full of different bits and pieces then I would know where it is. marcie ps. don't know what anyone else thinks of this idea.

Hi Marcie,
sorry, we don't have "personal files" on here.
Your best alternative would probably be to use a word processor, or any other editor.
Always have a page open which you can treat as a note-pad. "copy and paste" any useful information and links you find into this note-pad, and then you can sort it at any time.

Hi "Berlinbob" thanks, I did wonder whether I could use a word document and make up my own file with this info. I don't like notepad, but will try your suggestion. marcie

It doesn't have to be a notepad. You can use a word document or like I do a spreadsheet.
I have three columns in my spread sheet.
Subject, web link and notes.
You can highlight, copy and paste the web link from the top of the page.

How organised you all are! I just chuck all promising weblinks into favourites but then I have to go back, check them out and put them in appropriate folders.
I like the idea of a spreadsheet though - to keep a note of thread titles which have interesting info in them - I might try that.
