looking for some information re marriage of

HELE Bertram Alfred  born = About 1914
Marriage = Eunice Evelyn Ford = 9 September 1937 SA in Adelaide Hospital

One FT has Bertram buried with Charlotte  Hele at Salisbury SA

Question= did Bertram remarry if Eunice died and if she did when

Eunice is said to have born in Tasmania 30 May 1918?

Hi Cheran,

Bertram and Charlotte's ashes are together at Salisbury Memorial Park.

http://dcw.salisbury.sa.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=361

Happy to check the plaque when I am there in a day or two but I am afraid it will not likely yeild much information. The cutoff point for marriages in SA is 1937.

Thanks - I coudn't find one either

Marriage definitely says her name is Eunice Evelyn Ford with father James Ford.  Ww thought maybe Charlotte and Evelyn could be sisters but can't find anything to connect.

Thanks for trying

Hi Cheran,

Noticed something a little odd when looking at the burial details
for Bertram and Charlotte.

Bertram Alfred (Bert) HELE 79 years
Date of death - 23/10/1993
Date of burial - 16/12/1996

Charlotte HELE  82years
Date of death  26/1/1997
Date of burial - 15/3/1997

Made me wonder why the long time between death and burial
for them both  Undecided
*Thinking out loud*
Is it possible they were cremated/buried somewhere else and then moved here later?

Love to hear anyones thoughts on the reason.

Hi Raylen,

I think you will find this is because they were cremated not buried. You do not get the ashes immediately, you have to wait for them to be released. (about a month from memory) In Bertrams case it looks like it took the family a while before they decided what to do with the ashes. Where ashes are concerned the family often wait for an important family date before placing ashes in these rose gardens etc. I know my family did. When my dad passed in Jan we waited for his birthday in May when we had a little family get together to place his ashes in the rose garden. Same thing with mum (we had her ashes mixed with dads and had our own little family "service" on her birthday.)

Thanks for your help so far - at least the age at death helps track maybe the birth year.
