Hi Lu,

Thanks for al that wonderful information,  I am sure the Don must be a mistake,  the name just does not fit with my very Irish family, Annie and Michael also had a child Daniel born 22/9/1879 the same birth year as "Don"
unless they were twins its stretching it a bit even for catholics!

I agree with the ernie being Annie, its certanily fits with the mothers name.

Many thanks

Daniel Joseph Doody died 1945 age 65

Don Doody ? BORN 1879
, not sure on that name and can't find his death on BMD

Hi again Leandra

I think very possibly, that "Don DOODY" is the same person as "Daniel Joseph DOODY".    Huh

Daniel Joseph DOODY died 1945 aged 65 - born circa 1880

Don DOODY birth registered 1879.

My feeling is that "Don" is a mistranscription of DAN .... Dan being the short form of DANIEL.  (A check of the microfiche copy of the birth index made shed further light on whether it's Don or Dan ?]

Hi Sarndra and John ritchie,

So kind of you both to take the time to help me.  Its great to have Thaddeus's last address, he was the "black sheep" of this lot always starring in the police gazette,  fond of the drink Wink  so of course the black sheep are very interesting!

Cheers

Leandra

You're welcome :-) it's great fun helping others too.

Papers past has some stuff on Thaddeus, Daniel et al.
Thaddeus - http://tinyurl.com/ygvk4vt
Daniel - http://tinyurl.com/yfbeqr6

Lots of hits came up with Doody...should give the other names a go too :-)

Cheers

Hi again Sarndra,

I have seen the papers past thanks so much.  Thaddeus was a bit of a one!!  He is a family legend on my mothers side, they all remember hearing about this bad boy great uncle but the details were of course a bit sketchy.  He gives me a good laugh Wink

Thanks for all your help. Cheesy
