My G G Grandfather was born in Denmark, between 1851 -1853+1 his name was Jacob Petersen his trade was listed as Blacksmith. I beleive that he never left Denmark.
My Great Grandfather Peter Frederick Petersen was born in 1875, his trade was Fisherman. He moved to England and lived in Hull.
I have no information at all on either of them in Denmark. I paid for a Danish Researcher and he could not find anything I have logged onto various Danish official web sites no joy.
Can anyone start off on my quest for information on the Danish side of the family.

Jorose,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I have sent this message whilst at work, I do have 2 documents at home, which do indicate where they maybe from in Denmark, I will update my post.
I will look at the 2 hyper links

Jorose,
The witnesses to the marriage were:
Alfred Henry Hatfield and Susan Jacbson.

Any luck with the documents that might give you a place in Denmark?
"Susan Jacbson" - there was a Hans Christian Jacobsen (b. Norway) who married Jane Pettman aka Jane Susannah (on the 1911 census), he's normally in censuses as Christian or variants thereof and was master of a fishing vessel in Grimsby in 1881. There's also an Alfred Hatfield (no middle name) b. about 1862 in Grimsby who is around.
So probably these were not relatives, but connected by the fact that they lived nearby or that Peter worked with them, etc.
