Well im bk trying to further myself with my family tree this has put me off for about 9 months getting bk on with it as i dont know where to get the following info from!
My great grandmother it says on her birth cert that she was born in wormwood scrubs prison.  Is there anyway i can find out if her mother was in there by going onto some site with the census records on for this period or a site for prisons!!  I have not come across this situation before!  I posted something on here about 9-10 months ago and someone gave me a link but it only put me through to the prison site with no other details!!   Pls pls can anyone help me..... Roll Eyes   or point me in the right direction or even advise me in some way how to progress.

Hi Mike thanks for the reply  i dont have the cert to hand but the mother who was in wormwood scrubs was Sarah Jane Gash and she was born abt 1874 she was from Corby in Lincolnshire. The daughter who is my great grandmother was called Florence Ada Gash and she was born 6th Aug 1899 in the wormwood scrubs.   Is this info any help?   Sorry im a learner at this really!

Hi Toni!   Thanks for all that info you sent but i would love to say i know what to do with it but i dont!! Do i put in the search bar the bold black writting bits for the prisoner records part?

Hi Curly, these are the records of Wormwood Scrubs held at LMA, Dawn does look up at LMA so it may be worth you contacting her directly and asking nicely, you can see that the last 'block' i gave you covers the years you require.
