Where was Walnut St?*Completed thanks*
« on: Thursday 29 October 09 20:15 UTC (UK) »

Does anyone know the whereabouts of Walnut St., L'Pool. I have an ancestor from Cornwall living there in 1881. If I can find the location, then I can make an educated guess where my 2xGt Grandfather is buried, hopefully.

Just had a phone call from a cousin who thought it was in Southport but I'm pretty sure that isn't the one I am after.
Appreciate any help, please.

Hello Jean

If you go on www.historicaldirectories.org and choose Kellys Directory for Liverpool and Birkenhead 1894 .
Search under the word "walnut" and the street directory mentions a Walnut Street and names other roads/streets that it is off . Hope its the one you want  Smiley

Hi Eric

Have just tried your suggestion but couldn't see any area mentioned, just the street name. Did I miss the roads off? However, did notice the name of a pub on Walnut St called The Grapes. Will try and find it.

Thanks for helping
Jean

Ps Love your RC name, made me  Grin

Have found the street location in Gores directory 1900, it is in the Brownlow Hill/Bedford St area of L'Pool.

Thanks
