The 1911 has her as Marie and the family are living in Bideford

The free 1911 index shows the surname spelt correctly but you will need to buy credits to view the full entry

Annie b 1879
Emily 1908
Freda 1904
Louise 1902
Marie 1906

Father may have been a seaman as there is no male entry

Jacob does not appear on the 1901 census in Bideford.

There is another Jacob Langwasser living in Newton Abbott who was married to Sarah on the 1901 census and they are still together in 1911

Assuming Jacob was born Germany as was the other Jacob - here is an IGI entry to bear in mind.  You will need a copy of the 1901 marriage cert to establish his fathers name

As his mother is called Dorothea - you never know!!

JAKOB LANGWASSER   Birth:  06 JAN 1870   Hefersweiler, Pfalz, Bayern
Christening:  23 JAN 1870   Evangelisch, Niederkirchen Otterberg, Pfalz, Bayern
Father:  JOHANNES LANGWASSER    Mother:  DOROTHEA BUEHLER

I picked up on that, and spent sometime on it,so i guess that rules him out.But the info i have from my aunt is that they moved as a family from Devon to N wales when my g/mother was abt 10 y/o ,
jacob was interrred during ww1 on IOM,and that g/mothers brother Jac (sic)was killled inww1.My aunt is getting on and things are a bit hazy.

The only death in WWI for that surname was Leo Jacob Langwasser who died 1.7.1916 but he was the son of the other Jacob as per 1901 census

As you can see from the 1911 entry - no sons for Jacob & Annie
