Help with Baptism for George Lamb - Byermoor Area Please?
« on: Friday 30 October 09 11:01 UTC (UK) »

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me please - I'm trying to find out the baptismal records for George (William possible middle name?) Lamb, my grandfather, born 19th February 1914, parents Septimus George Lamb and Annie Adelaide Lamb (nee Liddell). I believe they were Church of England.

Also, if at all possible any baptismal details for his sister Elsie Lamb who was born 1908?

Sometime between 1904 and the 1911 census, Septimus and Annie had another child who must have been born and died in infancy. (I've said 1904 just to be on the safe side as Septimus and Annie married in October 1905). By 1911 the family were living in Burnopfield.

Any help with any of the above would be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

Can't help with your specific query but have you seen this:

George Lamb mothers maiden name Liddle born JuneQ 1912 Lanchester 10a p620
George Lamb died age 0 DecQ 1912 Lanchester 10a p370

There was a Septimus Lamb bSeptQ 1906 Easington 10a p516 and died age 1 JunQ1907 Easington 10a p270 who might be worth a reference check from the local office.

durham records online:

www.durhamrecordsonline.com

has a lot of lamb records. Pay to view but quite reasonable.
however the Septimus lamb mentioned by angelfish is a different family -father Joseph mother Ann.

Well spotted Diddy, I wasn't sure as it was a different registration district.
