I've looked on the next page of the census - at 48 High Street, and the eight looks exactly the same as on Margaret's age - must be 18.

I don't know if you've looked at Seax recently, but they are slowly digitising some old Essex PR's. Tillingham is on, but up to now, baptisms are 1696 to 1783.
If you haven't already seen it - the register is in a terrible mess......pages torn and damaged. Urghhh...
