Hi Everyone,
This is another one I am having some difficulty with.
Nelson Miles Januska was born 7 March 1898 Ohio and died 1975 Lincoln Heights. Los Angeles. - I can trace him on the 1910 1920 & 1930 census but unfortunately cannot find him in 1900. On the California Voters Lists he is a welder.
The spelling in 1910 was JAMSKA. In 1920 JANUOZKA. In 1930 JANUSKA.
By 1910 his mother Bertha is a widow with 6 children & in 1920 has married a younger man Dennis O'Leary - although I believe this ends in divorce by the time she appears on the 1930 census. I cannot trace her after that.
One of Nelson's brothers was Fredrick Januska born 1902, if the Ohio death record is him born 11 March 1902 Ohio and he died in 1963 Los Angeles - then the maiden name for Bertha could be KARBERG. (I know this is clutching at straws but its all I can find at the moment.
Nelson married about 1925 to Sarah Margaret Moore born in England 1905 - died Los Angeles 1987
Nelson and Sarah have 2 children by 1930 and 1 more after the census. Also living in the same household is Dora & Earl Sumner.
I believe Dora to be Doris Edna Moore born in England 1906. (Sarah's sister). Any information on her would be appreciated.
Looks like another nightmare one !!!
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you for pointing me in a direction.
Thanks also to Sue - managed to tie up 3 of the 6 Januska children & also a few others from a different line. Confirms the parents as well. So at least I'm on the right track.

Hi All,
Looking for the parents of Nelson Januska 1898 Ohio.
Joseph Januska 1871 described as Bohemian on birth information of 3 of the children.
Bertha Karburg 1875 also described as Bohemian/German on birth info.
The 1910 US Census described Bertha as born in Ohio of German Parents. She is a widow by this time.
Looking for Joseph's death.
Found a Bertha in 1875 Ohio but she marries Nicholas Schliefer.
Any help appreciated.
