Can anyone pinpoint the location of this photo
« on: Friday 30 October 09 20:42 UTC (UK) »

I think this photo may be of the Pickwell family of Old Leake . My great grandfather Pickwell ran the carrierīs bus for many years and had an invalid son Bill , possibly the boy in the bathchair. He built Fanthorpe House oppsite the Bricklayers Arms pub ,which is still there , but before that lived next door in a property that was later known as Farmerīs Shop.Could this be the building behind the group?Any help on Old Leake history would be greatly appreciated.

Dalmation Hello , I live just a few miles down the road (Boston) , I am not familiar with old leake History but must of passed by the Bricklayers arms several times. Do you believe the old picture was taken in a building next to the Bricklayers arms OR next to Fanthorpe house.
I take it you are not local if you give me more info i will take a trip up this weekend and see if the building in the picture is still there  Smiley

Hello Tracy

Thanks for the reply.I think the building was next to Fanthorpe House , opposite the Bricklayers Arms.I know that Fanthorpe House is still there , albeit a bit altered  .Any help that you could give me would be a big bonus.
