Bath BMD This is a very new site which is following the same format as other BMD Sites and aims to index all Births, Deaths and Marriages within the County.
As of the 1st May 2004 there are 29,569 marriages listed and we are sure that as this site grows it will become a great help to anyone researching in the Bath and North Somerset Area.

UK-BMD Updates Newsletter:

BathBMD have now released update 04 consisting of 10,692 marriages, mainly
between 1840 and 1860, and making all marriages to 1860 complete.

Also released are 31,806 births being our first release of births. All are
from 1837 to 1861 and 1837 to 1840 are complete.

all marriages to 1926 complete, all A series registers complete, and all RO3
to RO7 series registers complete.

BathBMD has now released update 09 consisting of another 12,700 marriages
and 41,275 Births.  Marriages are now complete to 1965 and births are
complete to 1854.  The next update will complete the indexing of ALL
marriage registers held by bath Register office!

BathBMD has now released (the marriage part of) Update 10 WHICH COMPLETES
ALL MARRIAGES!!  There are 959 full marriage registers in Bath Register
Office, and ALL of them are now fully indexed and listed on BathBMD.

An update of 41,000 births will follow shortly, and will complete all births
to 1870.

Our thanks go to all volunteers who helped with this and previous updates to
get us to this momentous situation.

BathBMD has now released another 41,000 births completing Births to 1870 and
with 114,310 now available on line for searching.

Looks like BathBMD has solved it's computer problems,
it is now back on line, and has also issued the following update:



UKBMD Newsletter:

BathBMD has issued update 11 consisting of another 33,000 births from across
the area.  Births are now over 30% done, and are complete to 1880.

BathBMD has issued another 37,893 births, making all births in our region
complete to 1895.  (Was 1880).  The next update will complete all births to
1910, and is expected to be published before Christmas.
