The building is still there - my Granddaughter always called it the "Barbie house" as it has arched windows upstairs
Eastwood Empire was a theatre and cinema - I am not sure when it closed -but it was still open in 1950's and by early/mid 1960's had closed and became the home of Woolworths (which closed recently) and now houses Heron frozen food centre.
It is situated opposite the post office on Nottingham Road Eastwood.
