GALLIFANT/GALLEFANT family from Braintree, late 18thC
« on: Friday 30 October 09 21:54 UTC (UK) »

Hi, Everyone,
I've recently been told that the family of Rebecca GALLEFANT, who married one of my GURNER family in Southwark in 1814 and then travelled with him out to Australia on The Lord Melville in 1816/7, came from Braintree.  There's an IGI entry for a Rebecca Ann being baptised in 1788, father a Daniel.  Is there anyone who is privy to the Braintree PR's and who could tell me whether the GALLEFANT family are well represented in this parish at that time...
Very best wishes, keith
