I am looking for Arthur William Small in 1881 and 1891.
I have details for concrete details for 1871, 1901, 1911 and up to his death in Reading in 1926.

Arthur William Small b. 1871 in Andover and resident in Andover with his mother Harriett Small (unmarried b 1852 Charlton Wilts) whilst she was a domestic servant in the Lewis household.
RG10; Piece: 1243; Folio: 41; Page: 19; GSU roll: 827836.

In 1876 Harriett married Charles Thomas Clavell and in 1881 and 1891 they were living in Wilton Wilts without Arthur.

The only Arthur Small with the correct birth date in 1881, is in a private school in Devon listed as b. London and I am doubting that Harriet could have afforded  this.

I may have a possible 1891 residence for Arthur as a lodger listed as a game keeper living in Tangley Hampshire, but I am not sure, as Arthur went on to be a Coach Painter but this links into the Lewis family where his mother had been in service.

Arthur married Sarah Georgina Polly Stevens in 1895 in Andover Hants
(Sarah was the daughter of the nextdoor neighbours to the Lewis's.)


Any ideas would be appreciated to fill in the missing parts of my puzzle. Huh
