Looking for Benjamin Butler

Hello, I'm searching for the parents of Benjamin BUTLER. He lived in the Hanmer area of Flintshire with his wife Anne Farral. They were married in 1773 and had 6 children. I can't find parents living in Flintshire who had a son .... the above Benjamin BUTLER. With nothing to go on, we need to locate the county where Benjamin hailed from if not Flintshire!

If you haven't done so already, it may be worth your looking at IGI batch number P001001. This shows the baptisms of 11 Butler children at Nantwich (not too far from Hanmer) between 1761 and 1791. The father is a Benjamin, as is one of the sons. This one was baptised in 1763, so unless he was about 10 years old at the time, he's too young to be married in 1773.

However, this family might be related.

Hi Paul,
we found that baptism record too but no we can't find any marriage details .... yet! Our next tack is to visit the Shresbury record office as they might have been married in Ellesmere which was really only up the road from Hanmer.
