St Peters church Leeds 1908 marriage
« on: Saturday 31 October 09 12:05 UTC (UK) »

Is anyone able to look up the marriage in 1908 (sorry don't know the month) of a John Robert Whitfield to a Fanny Broadbent.  I would dearly love to know the parents names of Fanny to decide whether it is the person I am looking for.  Any help would be appreciated.

Ok here goes,

John Robert Whitfield age 50 a widower occupation Barman married a Fanny Broadbent (nee Brook) age 43 a widow on 2nd August 1908 at St Peter's Leeds.

Their residence at the time was given as Buckton Street, Holbeck, LEEDS.

Johns father was also John Robert Whitfield a Hairdresser unfortunately deceased at the time of the marriage.

Fanny's father was William Brook a miner.

The witnesses were James Smith and Eliza Jackson.

Hope this was of some use?

Thanks, David, for the information.  (Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been off the scene for a few days).   Yes, the information was helpful in that it has confirmed to me that it wasn't the Fanny Broadbent I had been looking for.  (The one I am after was was actually born Fanny Broadbent).    But your information has prevented me from going down the wrong road.   Many thanks.   Jazgran.

No problems, glad to be of assistance.

If you need anything else just send me a PM.

Good luck with the rest of your research.
