Hi
IGI has christenings 1813 -1877 batch no C003582 and marriages 1842 - 1885 batch no M003583 (also christenings 1609 - 1812 P003581) if that helps a bit

No-one has the parish registers for that period. There are no transcripts for Beds after 1812, but a microfilm of the parish register is available at your nearest LDS Family History Centre or at Bedford Records office. Other of course than what's available on the IGI as Rosie has pointed out.

Rosie and David
Thank you for your replies. I have seen the baps on IGI but as you say the years I require are not available. Perhaps next year I shall visit the LDS Centre in London.
Thanks
Carol

Thanks John, I will post the names in case someone is visiting Beds RO and willing to look up for me.
Looking for Varney children of William Varney and Sarah bap Billington. There are a few children for this couple on IGI, the name being spelt as Virney. Births of children between 1870-1881. Also Edith Varney listed as grandaughter to William and Sarah in 1901 census would like her bap date and her parents if possible. Edith born about 1893 Billington.
Thank you

Hello Carol,
On 9th Aug 1874 there were 3 baptism of children of William & Sarah Varney of Billington, where William's occupation is Dealer; they were William, Elizabeth & Sarah Jane.
On 29th April 1877 is baptism of Mary Emma, father William is now a Farmer.
On 2nd March 1879 is baptism of Kate, William is still a Farmer
I could not see a baptism in 1893 (+/- 10 years) of grand-daughter Edith, neither could I find a Varney marriage in that time span who might be the parents of Edith.
Do the Varneys have a link with Potts family ? As interestingly on 9/8/1874 Thomas & Emma Potts baptised daughter Lizzy; & on 29/4/1877 they baptised sons Samuel & Thomas. Thomas Potts is down as a Blacksmith. Then on 2/3/1879 George William & Eliza Potts baptised son Edward. George is also a Blacksmith, because he is son of Thomas Potts, & married Eliza Negus on 8th Nov 1877 at Billington.
Hope it's of interest to you.
Regards John

Hi John
Thank you so much for the Varney baptisms in Billington. Was there a bap for a daughter by the name of Lemantina/Simontine? She was born in Billington 1881, and 3 months old at the time of the 1881 census. I've no idea who Edith Varney is, listed as a grandchild to William and Sarah Varney, unless it was their eldest son Williams child, there is no record of Edith in 1911 census as far as I can see. With William senior listed as being a Dealer at the time of the three Baps in 1874, clears up a marriage I have recently found in the LMA records. I now know I have the right person. Many thanks, much appreciated, Carol

John
Forgot to say, I can't find any links with the Potts and Varney families.
Best wishes
