Camels?

Does anyone know what Camels refers to? Sounds like it could be a place but sounds silly!
If it is a place does anyone know where it is?

Camels is a village/hamlet in the parish of Veryan, Cornwall (see http://www.cornwalls.co.uk/Veryan-village.htm).

Hello to you, Having heard my Mother speak of the name Blamey .. it seems almost too obvious that the connection is Camelford (or surrounds) in North Cornwall..where my mother originated from. Perhaps you are already aware of this ..(as I have only now joined Genes Reunited.! Happy hunting anyway,
With best wishes
Margaret Grace
