Camels?
« on: Saturday 31 October 09 23:26 UTC (UK) »

Does anyone know what Camels refers to? Sounds like it could be a place but sounds silly!

If it is a place does anyone know where it is?

There's the Camel Trail (cycle route) in Cornwall..

http://www.destination-cornwall.co.uk/Camel%20Trail/The%20Camel%20Trail%20Guide.htm

It sez, "Camels, of this parish" Where is the headstone located?

There is the Camel River that rises on Bodmin Moor and then theres the town of Camelford, so might be somewhere around there.

Hello to you,   Having heard my Mother speak of the name Blamey .. it seems almost too obvious that the connection is Camelford  (or surrounds) in North Cornwall..where my mother originated from. Perhaps you are already aware of this ..(as I have only now joined Genes Reunited.! Happy hunting anyway,

With best wishes
