lookup please 1841/51 census

John Atkinson b abt 1781 bolton by bolland yorkshire married a Millicent Robinson in 1806, looking to see if there was any siblings to the marriage and if i can get back to their parents.

Hi Linda:  I thought I'd found Millicent for you, but I don't think it's the right one.  No sign of John.

Millicent I found in 1841 was at Threap Green, Bolton by Bowland aged 40 and a Farmer, with her were John Atkinson aged 30 and Elijah Atkinson aged 20.  All born in Yorkshire.  However, 1851 showed Melicent Atkinson aged 51 and a farmer but unmarried!!  And thinking about it, Millicent would have been too young to be the right one - born 1800.  Sorry.  Sad

Hi Linda

I'm not sure whether you meant children to the marriage. If so if you go to family search

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp

and put in the batch number P007101 and father's name John, this will bring up children of John and Millicent Robinson. There are about 3 christenings that just have John as father no mother mentioned so I am not sure whether this is your John.

I did notice that the marriage you found was submitted rather than extracted and I don't feel that it is accurate seeing that many of their children were born well before 1806.

Ailsey Atkinson b. 11/3/1807
John Atkinson b. 23/6/1810
Ann Atkinson b. 2/8/1812

I cannot see the parents on 1841 Census.

Ah, so the Millicent Atkinson I found on 1841 and 1851 could possibly be the daughter?  And John the younger brother.
