Place on birth cert in Omagh, Tyrone?
« on: Sunday 01 November 09 10:06 UTC (UK) »

I have received a copy of my relative's birth certificate but I cannot quite see what the place is called.  She was Margaret O'Hara born 08/08/1897 in Omagh No 2, Omagh, County Tyrone, son of John O'Hara (Labourer) and Margaret O'Hara (cannot read maiden name).  The place where she was born (the same place where parents give their address) looks like LONEGGANDWEAKY.  I can't find it on the map.  Is it an old township?

You can search for the marriage in index to civil registrations-
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails;t=searchable;c=1408347
Search for Margaret M'Sorley or Margaret Mc Sorley then search for John O'Hara or John O Hara then cross-reference results for matching details. You get better results if you put in only the name, enter search, then refine search by place, event, date (upper left side of page).

To order the certificate you'll need names, year (and quarter if applicable), registration district, volume and page numbers only. Form isn't designed correctly for this but just fill in the above bits.
See here for information on ordering N.I. certificates-
