I have an ancester John Wood married to Isabella Codling on Jan 7th 1800 at Easington nr Guisbro.
In 1841 they are st Skelton aged 65 and 60
In 1851 Isabella is a widow and aged 72 born at Roxby. therefore d o b is 1779.
There is a birth and chr on IGI for Isabella born Nov 1779 at Roxby. Most familiy trees give the death of Isabella as 23 Mar 1791. Can you find me another Isabella or is this death in fact an older Grandma?
I have also been unable to find either JOhns or Isabellas deaths. There is a death of an Isabella Wood in 1853 Guisbro but she is the widow of William Wood.

There is an MI in Skelton

In memory of John WOOD who died Sep 20 1848 aged 72 years. Also Isabella his wife who died Sep ... 1853 aged 72 years. Also Jonathan the son of John and Isabella WOOD who died ... 18..  aged 38 years. Rest illegible

Hi

To add to my previous post.  The next grave has this MI

Erected in memory of Gilbert son of John and Isabella WOOD who died Jan 22 1827 aged 8 years. Also Jane their daughter and wife of Thomas JOHNSON who died Nov 1833 aged 33 years. Also George their son who died March 29 1838 aged 16 years.

Have you the MIs for Roxby to see how old the Isabella was at her death in 1791?
I feel sure she must have been  an old lady and not the Isabella of !779

The death cert I have for Isabella Wood is aged 72 Sept 16th 1853 at Skelton so it must be correct and she was  the Widow Of John Wood and not William as on the certificate. Confusing but i am sure the M I will be right. WEll done

don't forget that ages on census (or even certificates) are not always accurate, depending on who gave the information
