Am researching a marriage for the above.
Emma was born in Carew Pembrokeshire, if she married William would it be on FreeBMd reg as Narbeth or Haverfordwest.

Neither. Pembroke if she married in her home parish. If you're searching on FreeBmd, click on the registration district and it will give you a list of parishes in that district.

From what I remember of searching for that family, the marriage registered sept qtr 1874 Merthyr Tydfil vol 11a pg 710 looked more likely.   

Emma might have gone home for the birth of her first child
Isaac Griffiths sept qtr 1875 Pembroke vol 11a pg 883
The certificate would give Emma's maiden name.
