hi
    I'm looking for 2 marriages. THOMAS PEART AND ANN MALL  abt 1836. thomas is from cubblerley and Ann is from bertley they settle down in badgeworth. the other one is JOHN HOLDER and EMMA surname unknown abt 1830. john is from ashleworth and Emma is from painswick, they settle down in leckhampton.

 Huh,

There's no parish named Bertley according to Parloc a free parish locator prog. from http://www.parloc.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/parlocdl.html  Sounds to me like a fairytale place name found in a submitted IGI entry.

Your use of, "abt" before dates seems to imply you found the info as submitted in the IGI.  Such info is suspect because it has no provenance for verification purposes.

Have a search at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyGloucester_(A-M).htm#A   where the info. given is extracted and very reliable regarding accuracy of extraction from church records.
