Hi
Looking to find the birth of John Hodgson c1823 in Mytton Yorshire. on his marriage cert his father is down as James Clarkson a farmer. His marriage in 1859 was at Whitwell in parish of whalley.
Can any one help ?

Is it Mytton or Myton, Yorkshire? There is a Mytton in Shropshire, on the banks of the River Severn, but also a Myton on Swale, and also a Myton which is part of Hull. I had a look at Whalley, it's in Lancashire, a place called Wiswell is nearby, is that the place of marriage? In the 1851 census there is a John Hodgson in Whitwell, in the Forest of Bowland, a farm servant, born Milton or Mitton, Yorkshire.
