Finding your family in Canada

Hi All,

I am hoping that someone can help me!!  I am looking for records of my husbands grandfather who emigrated from England to Canada in the 1950's, but all we know is that he went to Montreal....we would dearly love to know what happened to him as we have no idea if he is still alive, if he remarried or possibly had more children!!  I have looked at the Library and Archives Canada but as I am not in Canada I cannot view any records (if I can because the records would be relatively new!).  Does anyone have any idea on how we can trace our family in Canada from England please?

Are you on ancestry?  If so, you can access the Drouin records and they go up to 1967.

The Drouin records give you free access to birth, marriage and death records (once you've paid for your ancestry membership Wink ).
