Caldwell family in Stevenston

 I am researching the Caldwell family from Stevenston - Robert Caldwell born 1775 Lochwinnoch married Mary Cochrane/Cochran 1800 She was born 1780 in Lochwinnoch and they had 10 children all born in Stevenston.
Their son Matthew married Agnes Boyd Reid in 1848 in Stevenston and they had 10 children,
Their son Alexander Reid Caldwell married Jane Wilson McFadzean 1889 in Kilmarnock
Information on who were the parents of Robert and any data on any of the family would be most welcome.
