Trying to find Elizabeth Shearer , born Dumfries 1884 , married a Duncan Grant 1908, dont know where they disappeared to.

Where did they marry - have you got the certificate or other details.  Also what is their connection to Northumberland?

There is a match for this marriage 1908 on Scotlandspeople http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/search/marriage/index.aspx

if you don't have the certificate it might be worth buying some credits to see the full details of parents etc

The 1911 census for Scotland is not yet available, and I can't see them in the free 1911 index for England/Wales, perhaps they emigrated?

As Christine says, the more information you can give, the better, and the reason you think they may be in Northumberland

They were married in Dumfries , last we heard the were in Dumfries 1912 , then we know she was back in Dumfries in 1930 for her sisters funeral , she was using her maiden name , since then nothing , we heard she could be in the Morpeth or Newcastle areas.
