Hello there, I'm trying to find the birth of Harold Alexander PHILLIPS born 1879 to Harold PHILLIPS, a director of some kind and Sarah WILLIAMS. Harold married Catherine Margaret BARRETT in 1900 CAIRNES QUEENSLAND under the name Phillip Harold George Alexander PHILLIPS.
Any help finding his birth and siblings would be greatly appreciated:)

Hi Sunshine,
I can't see Harold Alexander's birth in Queensland, I'm afraid, and no births to the couple you've given at all to 1887. 
Maybe he was born in another state.

I've checked out SA, NSW, WA and Victoria.....and I don't see any children for a Harold Phillips/Philips and a Sarah in any of those states.

I know, its confusing. His place of birth listed on his death certificate is Cairnes, QUEENSLAND, maybe he just wasent registered but you'd presume at least some of the children would have been?

Hi there,
Is it likely that your chap saw WW1 service, perhaps in the AIF? If so, perhaps his WW1 records would contain details of his birth place, date etc... perhaps he was born outside of Australia ....
