Robert REID(blacksmith) and wife Margaret
« on: Tuesday 03 November 09 12:04 UTC (UK) »

Looking for this couple's whereabouts in 1911 and afterwards.  They married in 1904 in Alexandra Presbyterian Church.  I have found their son living in Hillman Street with his grandfather in the 1911 census - but no trace of parents.  These are my husband's relations.  Robert Reid is listed in 48 Summer Street in the 1910 Belfast Street Directory.  RosemaryJoan

married c1871 - but with same name, occupation & location, maybe connected to your Robert ?

Thanks for that - I will look into it, possibly his uncle, as his father William was a blacksmith too.  Margaret's maiden name was McCormick .  RosemaryJoan

I would say that they were both in their 30s.  I don't have births for either of them.  RosemaryJoan

Oh dear!!!  Forget the whole thing.  I have just paid for the birth details of their son George, and it says 'child's mother deceased'  It was his mother I was searching for - and now I'm so sad.  RosemaryJoan
