Hi

Can anyone help please?

I'm looking for the Parents of John Adey born in Tanfield 1781 to 1862 I'm having trouble locating them.

If no luck with John Adey, then possibly his wife Ann Beavens also born in Tanfield 1776-1845?

Have you tried Familysearch labs where Tanfield PRs are free to search
 http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1309819;s=waypointsOnly;w=0;p=waypoint
They have Tanfield under Durham  Huh

My Family are from Durham, Sunderland etc and I knew Tanfield just didn't sound right.

Another very useful site is the Durham County Record Office Church of England Parish place names index

click on Tanfield, St. Margarets, and you get a map, list of adjacent parishes, and what records they hold for each parish
