lookup of ship Eden 1849

hi i was wandering if someone had access to assisted british
immigrants to victoria 1839-1871 looking for charles
johnson listed as following:
charles johnson age 17 1849 feb book 4 pge270 also book 4 page 281 where would i find the fiche for this and if so will it
list place of birth and parents names.

Hi Kate

These microfiche are held at the Melbourne Archives at  99 Shiel Street, North Melbourne.  I am not sure whether other states have copies but I imagine the National Archives in Canberra would.

I don't know what information is found on the fiche but you could email the Public Records Office - ask.prov@dvc.vic.gov.au

If you are wondering about access, the following should help.

I have access to Victorian indexes - Let me know if you want anything checked out.

for the information i 'll have to find out if there fiche in nsw ,
i have the victorian bdm indexes too , i think this one came to nsw later. well hoping i have found him finally.
this is why i want to find the fiche, hoping its got some information on it.
