1891 Census Joel ( trans. as Jod) and Jane still at Nursery Cottages ( where they were on C1871) C1871 page ref 4172-41-33. as Hitchingmam or whatever.
Although it looks as though they were in Heworth/Felling from about 1`860 for the rest of their lives, there is no sign of any of them on 1881 census, in that area ( or any other)
irret, I think Joel was "Cloth dresser" on C1851. The tall letter is an example of the reversed letter " f" used as the first letter "s" when there were two consecutive letters "s".
